I first got the travel bug while riding all over New England with my parents while growing up. This blossomed into bigger visions of what beach week could be for my Senior year, so I planned and coordinated for my entire senior class to go to Disney World for “Grad Week”. We all still talk about it today!
After joining the Army and met my husband, who thankfully also has a passion for travel. The Military has brought us all over the US and the world, and we don’t just move to a new state, we explore it to the fullest. I’m the person who creates the “bucket list” so to speak, of all the places we must visit before we move again. Our list typically includes cutest towns, best restaurants, National Parks, Battlefields, top amusement parks, etc.
For instance, stationed in FL for two years we visited Disney World just about every weekend for the two years that we were there. This was such a blessing for our young family of Disney Princesses at the time. Since then, we have been fortunate enough to cruise with Disney. Through another turn of events, we moved to the desert of CA for three years where we were able to explore Ghost Towns, important sites from the Gold Rush, several National Parks as well as Disneyland and Universal Studios several times. As time goes by and the kids get older, we seem to be a house divided in love for all things Disney and Universal Studios, Princesses and Star Wars vs. the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
In addition to the adventures we have while living in each new state, I turn the move itself into an adventure! This last move could have simply been an 8-day, 2,800-mile sprint from CA to MA, instead, I created a 29-day 4,100 mile adventure through 15 states to see 8 National Parks and historical sites via RV.Practically my whole life I have been planning vacations and road trips for family and friends, but only recently I learned that I could be a Travel Agent and do this as a career. I love my job, and I am passionate about.
